Google My Business is an easy and free tool for businesses and organizations to manage their online presence across Google search result page, including NAP(name, address, phone number) and Maps. By verifying and editing your business information in GMB, you can help customers to find you and tell them the story of your business.
Before claiming in GMB, check if you already listed your business in Google, you can search by typing your business name in the google search are tying your address in google maps.
If you’re not listing then can proposed to next step.
Step by step to create your Google My Business page:
Step 1: GO to google my business and click sign in
step 2: Enter Your Business or Organization Name same as in your website.
Tip: Enter the name same as present on your site, don’t change the name it will effect on your rankings.
Step 3: Add your address and phone number
tip: Be careful before adding the address, don’t make the duplicate address and add your number don’t use the toll-free numbers.
Step 4: selecting the category this is the major step in the business listing through it google knows that which category user business belongs.
step 5: Adding your website
It is not compulsory to add your site but if you have the website adding it will be an advantage for ranking and authority.
step 6: If you deliver the products to the customer so you can select “yes” and if you’re not then select “no” option.
step 7: Before the google update business listing it takes 12 days of to time to verify your business. with the latest update of google in local business , you can verify your business with the phone number, you will get OTP by entering it you can verify your business.
